I was truly shocked got to the hotel at 4:07pm, check in was 3:00pm, trash can out front full of beer bottles, smelly diapers, and chicken bones this was right in front of the lobby doors. Went to the front desk, person at the desk was talking on a cell phone about going out that night, she did not even look at us until she finally hung up, she said, "yeah", I kid you not she really said "yeah". I said we would like to check inn she pointed toward the bar area and said get in line they have been waiting for an hour. We looked over at the bar area and there where about 20 people waiting for rooms, at 6:15pm we finally got a key to a room, went up and inside was a couple cooking something, it looked like something from Sanford and Son. We went back down and got another room this time in a far away back buildig called the villa building, joke it was full of what trully looked like hookers and drug dealers. At this point we put our bags down, and went to get dinner stayed out late talking to the waiter at the resturant we went to and he laughed when we told him where we where staying, he truly laughed. He said the palce was about to be shutdown by the city, I can see why. We went back, put towels we bought at the beach store on the bed, slept a few hours checked out went to the Holiday Inn for the rest of out trip, we met 6 outher couple at the pool that had done the same thing. It is a shame the location is good, but the palce is worse than a DUMP!!!

I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I had to share our experience to spare others from wasting their money on this nasty place. It smells like mold, there was a huge pool of water we had to wade through to get to our room, our keys never worked, no one spoke English, breakfast was a joke, and we were lucky if we got towels. And the ones we did have had holes in them. It was terrible!
THE WORST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never right reviews but felt I must do so to try and save others from this place. The last review or any other for that matter must be from the Manager or something, because there is nothing good about this place. NO TOWELS, NO SOAP, KEY CARDS DID NOT WORK, FOOD WAS LIKE DOG FOOD. My trip was ruined, staff was a joke spoke little to no english, hello last time a checked this is the USA. The GM of this place is like something out of a Disney World ride, you know the its a small world one, DO NOT GO.
Not as bad as I thought!!

We have stayed at the hotel a total of 3 times now and the new staff was a MAJOR improvement. They were always friendly even when the were being verbally attacked by other visitors. Was everything a 5? No, but they are trying .....thats more than we could ever say about the previous staff......these people actually try to help you. Keep up the good work and we will see you soon again.
STAY VERY FAR AWAY!!!!!

No Place to park, roof in lobby falling in, the room they gave us had 6 people already in it, "6", they looked like a huddled mass yerning to be free. Given another room sliding door was knocked off the track, and rain was able to blow right in. When we came down to get a refund on our card and leave the manager would not even come out of his office, he closed the door, and acted like he was gone for the day, but my wife watched him walk in his office. Bottomline this place is a joke, a true joke Hilton Head should force this place to do something, and soon.
