Rated 2 stars in aaa, but really deserves only one. Clean, very large rooms. Bed comfort good, but sheets were worn with a large tear in them. Although updated two years ago, showing wear. Quiet. Very good location near downtown and freeway. ...Read more

Was a big inprovment from the last time, the rooms have all been updated and renevated. With wireless internet in the rooms it made it very easy to get things I needed to do in the comfort of my room!

I stayed at Hotel Courtenay Bay and the staff is wonderful. They have been renovating and the hotel is starting to look refreshed and renewed. Hotel Courtenay Bay is in a great location, about a 15 minute walk to the waterfront.

When we were storm stayed in SJ this past summer, the staff at the Courtenay Bay let us stay at a reduced rate. Thank-you so much! The staff are very friendly and thoughtful.

We chose this hotel for the free airport shuttle which was unavailable at the times we needed it. The noise kept us awake until 4:00 a.m. This is a popular spot for weddings and sports teams. Don't stay here if you want a quiet, relaxing night.
