Nice Easter

Spent the Easter weekend and Rays Home Opener at the Don and thoroughly enjoyed same. The room was clean, the bathroom spotless and the staff friendly. The beach was spectacular and the weather was very cooperative. Anything I requested was left by housekeeping. My daughter and grand children joined us and thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at the beach, restaurant, and pool. Would not hesitate to go back again and again.
Well short of expectation!

Check in was too long and somewhat non-accomidating. Food and beverage service at pool side was extremely slow, non responsive and sometimes did not return. Beautiful hotel and location but, very over raited, expensive for what you get, charged double for parking, staff can be unfriendly and quick to snap back if your unhappy with their service. Would never go back, too many other better deals and value on other beach resorts. Unless you don't care about value, service, waiting for staff, and being dissapointed on vacation, then stay here.

Over rated and don't even think about checking out early. Family crisis or work problem at home? - they will charge you a one night penalty if you have to leave early. Nice beach but it's a long way from everything else.

WE stayed for 3 night/4 days- and have stayed every year for the past 4~! Wonderful place - so nice, clean, and beach front is better than HAwaii. We have a 3 year old and they are so family oriented - its a nice retreat for Mom & Dad's- that want R & R - but have children too~!
Highly recommend - will keep coming back.

Hotel front desk was overwhelmed by the guests, and lines were long to check in. Once at the front of the line we were informed at 3:35 pm that check-in was 4 pm and no rooms were available. Rooms were finally available at 5 pm (upgraded room offered). Manager believes that there is no commitment to have rooms available at check-in time. Staff was sparse and hard to find. Hotel seems to be trying to save money by cutting staff, but service suffers. Hotel staff was obsequious to known guests and curt to guests they did not know.
Rooms are small; had to ask for extra towels to match number of guests, had to ask for coffee in room. Same parking issue as noted above. SIgn at hotel entrance states that parking is $10 for self park and $13 for valet. Real cost is $20 for valet and mandatory $22 resort fee which includes self park and wireless internet which is so slow as to be unusable.
Would not return, as value for the money is low.
