Great Staff

We stayed for 4th of July weekend and enjoyed it very much. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. Conceirge was very welcoming and helped make a reservation at a local restaurant. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Grounds and pool/spa are nice and the hotel has plenty of parking space (costs $10 a night for parking, but less than some other hotels). Local attractions (restaurants, bars, beaches) are minutes away and easily accessed by car. The restuarant has tasty breakfast choices and the bar is good for a nite cap. The gym has most of what you would want (cardio and weight machines, free weights, water, towels, tv). The only thing I felt was missing was an included breakfast, but the overall hotel stay is well worth the rate.

We had a room with a King bed on the main floor looking out over the gardens. They were amazing. the bathroom was very small but clean and nice. The bed was perfect and pillows were the best. The room smelled musty when entering but when sir was turned on it quickly went away. Room service was great and so was the food. We had the warm pool all to ourselves and the hot tub was hot and my husband loved it. We will definitely stay again.
Relaxing and Beautiful

This Sheraton is in a beautiful setting and the grounds are kept up perfectly. Although it is one of the "older" hotels in the area, it has a very comfortable feel to it and is not "corporate" or stuffy. Our room was clean and quiet and the housekeeping service took care of our room with special touches that we did not ask for. Guest services were great in helping us find several places we wanted to visit. We used the free internet/computer access in the lobby. The pool and koi ponds were relaxing and we soaked in the whirlpool/spa each night of our stay. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant one morning that would be rated good, but kind of pricey. We would definately stay there again.
Better when it was Radisson

While this hotel is perfectly fine, it lacks the attention and care it gave when it was a Radisson. We had a power outage one night, and they didn't even give us an explanation. Flooding in the hallway, non-operating elevator, fee for business center, all of these add up to an average experience. I have stayed here many times, this may be my last. They put us in the furthest room they could find, with all the families with children, while the better wing was unoccupied for the week. These are much smaller rooms, and although I am a preferred member of their club, I saved so much online that I didn't use my direct reservation discount. They also neglected to provide my bill on my final day, something they guarantee to do.

We just got back from our anniversary trip to California, and we are so glad we chose Sheraton La Jolla. The hotel and gardens were beautifully maintained, the staff was friendly and helpful - overall we were very pleased. The location is great as well. Just jump on Interstate 5 and you can get to any of the sightseeing points of interest in minutes. It was the perfect choice, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet convenient to everything. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
