Never Again

Upon entry of the room an immediate unpleasant smell came lofting out of the room. The carpet was filthy, with various stains and even a burn mark from an iron. The toilet seat was miniaturized, as if made for toddlers. The 1st floor rooms which we stayed in, have picnic tables out side the room. I thought this was nice until at 9:45pm that evening a group of men took the table right outside our room, not theirs and proceeded to talk, and laugh loud enough until 1:00am. I had to turn down the air conditioner and freeze just to mask the noise. I finally called the front desk at 12:15am asking the front desk to request that the men call it a night. They stated they would do so, at 12:30am I called again as they still had not come to speak with the men. The front desk said he was busy but would speak with the men. When he did talk with them all they did was move one table down. The pool area was under construction as they were building gazebos around the pool. Nothing was secured off and wood, nails and construction supplies were all about. Breakfast options were cereal, scabby scrambled eggs, hard biscuits, and unpalatable bacon.

I had to stop in Fort Stockton on my way to Camp Pendleton, CA. I was exhausted. The staff was very friendly and the room was beautiful.. It must have been recently renovated. It was very clean. I slept like a baby! I will definately stay here again if I come through again. The breakfast was okay. I ate cereal. It was full breakfast but I was not very hungry.

Poor Value; Deplorable brekfast; NO High Speed Internet

Nice, large room; good bed; clean; staff indifferent (no coffee cups out for coffee; employee talking on personal cell phone rather than assisting guests). NO high speed internet as advertised--and it was the most expensive of hotels in six states ,of greater value than this one in June 2008; "full:" breakfast buffet next door at restaurant absolutely deplorable--wouldn't think of eating with the flies--and this was with 1 1/4 hrs remaining of serving time. Is Fort Stockton's oil boom to blame. NO. Poor management (not on site) is to blame. And this was a senior rate of $ plus taxes.

we stayed in this hotel overnight and woke up to beds crawling with bedbugs. We both had severe reactions to the bites and it took us two weeks to recover. Do not ever stay in this place!!

Fire the management and housekeeping staff

My room was left wide open while I was gone. When I complained, the manager was not the least apologetic. On top of that, the room I was initially given hadn't been made up, and the staff seemed annoyed that I expected to get moved to a different room--one without used towels and trash all over.
