Not a Great Stay

Only real problem with this hotel is the service...it really is lousy. Put a card out for room service the night before and it was still on the door the next morning (I see from other reviews this has happened before). Rooms are comfortable but not outstanding; rooms are also clean. I would just rate this place as average, maybe like a 2 1/2 star hotel. Much better coffee can defiintely be found elsewhere too.

Not happy with food services

I arrived at 7pm wanting a nice dinner before retiring for the evening. I was surprised to find the main restaurant closed. I was told a limited menu was available in the bar, but there was a convention in the hotel and the bar was literally packed with only one bartender and one server working. I was finally able to eat after 9:30pm! I placed the breakfast order placard on the doorknob at 11pm, so I could have breakfast in my room the following morning. 20 minutes after the breakfast should have been delivered, I opened the door to find the placard was still hanging on the knob - never collected overnight.

Great Place to Stay

The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of historic sites and great restaurants. Visited the hotel restaurant too - the food was good and the service was great! They provided a free shuttle to our event at the Civic Theatre. The room/bathroom was very clean. Bed was comfortable with lots of pillows - a great overall experience. I would go back again.

Wonderful surprise

I actually was in Canton for a memorial service, and I was traveling alone. This hotel is a really lovely place with an excellent, friendly, helpful staff. I felt totally safe, and the room was large, with a luxurious bathroom and beautiful bed linens on such a comfy kingsized bed. The only thing I missed was being able to eat breakfast or lunch on Sunday morning because their restaurant is closed,. The young man on the desk told me of a place closeby instead. There was a large, loud wedding reception going on Sat night, but I did not hear anything in my room on the 3rd floor. This hotel is directly across the street from the First Ladies Museum. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again anytime.

Staff

My wallet was stolen from this hotel and used at nearby businesses and charged $150. When I questioned the staff they said they had not had any wallets turned i. Their staff was rude and accused me of losing my wallet somewhere else. Their manager has still not called me back after leaving three messages. Obviously a member of the staff found my wallet in my room and stole it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!
