An excellent choice. Two beautiful queen size beds. A modern bath with granite counter.The TV was a large flat screen with cable. A refrigerator and coffee maker. Included was a full breakfast buffet. The help was courteous and obliging. The price was $** WOW!
Valet parking was provided at no charge. The staff was courteous and very helpful.
Family really enjoyed our stay.

My family of 5 had a great time. While the hotel was built in 1964, they've put in some very recent renovations. The bathrooms were new, as were the room floors and other features. The location was great for us. Easy to get to town, kids didn't have to put up with long drives.
Pool is nice and the hotel is right on the beach. There are activities for the kids. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Large menu and free breakfast buffet. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We look forward to going back.
Trying to make improvements

Not a Luxury Resort .. You can see that at one time it was a fine hotel, it appears to have been "let go" and owners today are trying to make improvements..Especially with "curb appeal," grounds, gardens and many rooms have been recently renovated, We got one ,thankfully ,with a nice view of the Harbor (no balcony tho ! ) Nice shower, nice Tv, clean and maintained each day..
First impression going up to room in rickety elevator and stepping into the hallway we were met with a strong musty, mildewey odor, which seemed to go away over the next several days ..maybe it was a humid day ?? Doors to each room reminded me of my college dorm in the early 60's, but they locked and the card key worked , mostly..
Pool was ok, Beach was terrific, Food was wonderful..A bit over-priced but we would go back especially if improvements continue

My wife and I had to change rooms because there were about 15 squashed mosquitoes on the ceiling that hadn't been cleaned. Rooms old and cheap feeling. Gross, and no doubt a cleaning person neglected to tend to the matter. Internet access did not work in any room. Spa & fitness center are a jacuzzi and old, some nonworking equipment. Charge $7.50 for a beach chair. We won't go back.

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend for my conference. The ocean-view room was great. You can shower while watching the sun come up on the ocean. The location is not far from Wilmington and the view places on Wrightsville Beach.
