Great Place to Stay in Orange County

We stayed here for two nights while visiting the LA area and were very pleased with the staff and the room. The hotel is very close to the John Wayne Airport, the reception staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was well appointed and big. The bed was very comfortable as was the sofa. The room had a refrigerator, small bar sink and microwave. We weren't bothered by outside noise and the free breakfast was very good.

It was great for the price!

My stay at La Quinta was my first and is definitely not going to be the last. First of all I was not expecting a whole lot for the price, but I was wrong. This hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast area was clean and had alot of choices for breakfast, and the hotel staff was also courteous. I have stayed at alot of hotels and have paid anywhere from $100-$150 a night and let me tell you this hotel beats them in pretty much everthing. I especially enjoyed their remodeled rooms and their beds were very comfortable and very acomodating. I would definitely recomend anybody coming to this area to stay at this hotel you will be no sorry and you will be saving a few bucks vs. staying somewhere else more expensive.

The staffs are nice and polite. The landscape is well taking care of and clean. The only down thing is the room and bathroom are a bit old. It is time for remodeling. Over all, it is a good a pleasant experience.

Pool was not heated, too cold to swim in. Continental breakfast ran out two days in a row as other guests were hoarding food, not hotel staff fault, just quality of guests. Didn't like how air conditioning wouldn't stay on during the day, came back to a hot room for the entire stay. Set on timer, automatically turned off at 10a.m. No shuttle available. Room was good, nice size and decor. Great location, very attractive. Was told that no smoking allowed on first floor, however, cigarette butts all over first floor grounds and lots of guests smoking at pool.

Dirty Floor/Unpleasant Odor-Chose another motel

When we first walked in it wasn't bad for the price-it certainly wasn't "newly renovated" as the property description stated. After settling in I found many problems. The bigger ones were:I had to clean the soap scum off the tub. The carpet was FILTHY!!!!!!!! If you had your shoes off for no more than 30 minutes your socks were black. The walls were paper thin. I could hear conversations from all the surrounding rooms. The longer we were there I found there to be a strange odor. We were traveling with a toddler so these things were a real problem. Also people traveling with their dogs proved to be offending-there were several places outhside that I found feces. While I applaud the hotel for using energy effecient light bulbs, they need to have better lighting in the bathroom. You couldn't see to put makeup on, etc. We had knocks on the door late at night with no one there.
