The Hampton Inn Saved Us!!!

Eight of us, including four young children, were stranded at the Cruise Port by a directly adjacent competitor - a major hotel chain. The driver of the Hampton Inn shuttle, there to pick-up their own hotel guests, volunteered to take us back to the adjacent competitor - no charge. Upon arrival we found out that the Hampton Inn had rooms available and booked with them, cancelling our original reservation at the adjacent competitor. The front desk was most helpful, storing our bags and getting us out to the pool to wait for our room to be made up. The staff even checked that we were comfortable while waiting for our room. The pool is wonderful, large enough for young and old kids. Lots of sun or shade, take your preference. Overall the room was very comfortable and spacious, lots of towels and amenities. The beds are quite comfortable too. There is no dining room in the hotel, however the front desk was able to make a great recommendation - Lester's Diner - and they shuttled us there and back- all part of their service. The morning airport shuttle was on time and extremely helpful with the children and our luggage. We left too early to enjoy the breakfast bar, but the hotel provided each of us with a breakfast bag to go - filled with a muffin, apple, granola bar, mints and a bottle of water. Overall we were greatly impressed. The Hampton Inn offers a "100% satisfaction guarantee" - we were 150% satisfied. Staff and management should be proud of themselves. Thank you Hampton Inn!

Great place!

This was the hotel we stayed at for two days before our flight (after getting off from a cruise). Since this is an airport hotel, we were not expecting anything more than a place to chill but because they let you ride the hotel's shuttles to go to town and about, we had the opportunity to leave the hotel and go out to the beach, on Las Olas and back all for the price of a gratuity. We liked the breakfast, free internet and staff friendlyness but the pool was not the cleanest it could be but then it wasn't heated either. The mattresses were really unconfortable so I'll be sure to ask if they were recently changed if we want to return there. Now for my pet peeve: The colours and patterns used in the bathroom tiles was also a very bad choice because there was no way to know if they were clean or not. Since I cant tell if the floor was clean, I'll have to assume it was not. I've seen many hotels do that little smoke and mirrors game with bed spreads but never with floor tiles. Anyways, I hate it when they do that, just wash-up instead of hiding stains and you'll reduce vacancy to almost nothing.

LOVED IT!

The Hotel was wonderful! Everyone was very nice! We were picked up from the airport by the free shuttle within 10 minutes of arriving! The Shuttle driver also gave us great suggestions of places to eat and took us for free! We were leaving the next day on a cruise and again we were taken to the port for free on a scheduled shuttle! Everyone was very nice and helpful! The hotel was beautiful and clean and the rooms were wonderful! The free hot breakfast was great as well! We would recommend to anyone!!

If you go on a cruise, this is the place to stay. They pick you up at the airport, take you out to eat, and take you to the cruise port all with friendly service, and always a smile. We are booked already for our next criuse to stay here.

For a summer, weekend, the hotel seemed quiet. Both nights we were the only ones using the pool (for the most part). The room was nice and clean. The staff seemed attentive. The continental breakfast was also nice and fulfilling. The hotel is next to a McDonalds, a nice German restaurant and next door to a BigLots and full grocery store if needed. If I had to complain about something it would be that the "fitness" room consisted of 2 treadmills and maybe another piece of equipment. Also, this is the first place in history that refused to accept my credit card "checks" for payment. That was really the only disappointment for me.... Overall, great place and location for a great price.
