You better have your own transportation

The hotel isn't near anything unless you have a car. Although the food was good and the waiter/bartender was friendly enough toward us, we could hear him speaking loud vulgarities and cursing to some of the other employees during his conversation with them. We had the steak sandwich which was actually excellent. The waiter/bartender said they ran out of their regular cut and had to make the sandwiches out of prime rib. He said we were getting the last steak sandwiches until the regular meat was available. The pool and other common areas were not very pleasant at all. Some of the vending machines were in cages, giving it the appearance of a rundown neighborhood. The hotel is surrounded by interstate and isn't within walking distance of anything else. The shuttle service to/from the port and airport were efficient and comfortable. We used room service for a pizza and it took over an hour to arrive. They said they wrote down the wrong room number. The pizza was good though, I'll give them that. The rooms are old and cramped and overall the hotel doesn't look very clean. Doors were repainted but rust was showing through.

Pool was clean and warm but small. Breakfast was not bad. A lot of greasy food though. Some other stuff that was healthy though. Room was clean. Close to airport. Good for price.

Unfortunate fall in the Bathroom!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, however they really need to update their bathrooms in the hotel rooms. The bathrooms have no exhaust fans and due to the moisture build up in the bathroom the floor was very wet and I fell early one morning going to the bathroom. I did hurt my back! The hotel is located right off of the highway which makes it very dangerous when turning into the hotel. The daily courtesy breakfast were great! Everyone was nice and friendly. The pool and Tiki bar were very inviting and the weather was perfect while visiting Florida!

Rainy Night in Florida

I'm usually quite easy to satisfy with hotels...clean room, quiet hotel...I'm happy. However, this Ramada Inn was very attractive when advertised, but dissapointing at arrival & beyond. The lobby & bar area were very nice...but when it's raining and you have to get to 1/2 the rooms in the hotel (more like a Motel)...you have to walk across an open area that was wet & had standing puddles. One of our two rooms had a leak in the roof with water dripping in the bed. The other room was smoking and we had asked for non-smoking, and were told they were sold out. When the water leak occured, our nanny was quickly removed to a new room that was non-smoking, so the initial story about being sold out was just not the truth. Our room smelled terrible and the smoke smell lingered even in our hang up clothe for the remainder of our trip. I'm sure the experience would have been better if it hadn't rained...or if we received a non-smoking room...but look out for the "RAINY NIGHTS IN FLORIDA".

Disappointed!

The two good things I can say are the staff was helpful and the breakfast was great. They say they are renovating but the only thing I saw was an updated bathroom. The door on our room was very insecure and loose. The bed, very uncomfortable and the room outdated. The resturant was another story. We had to wait in line for dinner about 25 minutes even though there were empty tables. When we finally did get waited on, I went to use my spoon and It was dirty with food crusted on it. I asked for a different one and the waitress told me it was just because it was old! I don't think so! I had to ask twice before I got a clean one. The food itself was not good. That's why I was so surprised to get such a wonderful free breakfast! Also my husband walks with a cane. They placed us on a second floor and did not have an elevator for him to use or for me to get the luggage up. I had to ask for help with the luggage.
