HAMPTON ONEONTA

The Hampton Inn in Oneonta is a new hotel in the area. Check in was effortless, the rooms spotless and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel has a small fitness area and a heated pool with a whirlpool. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and there were ample pillows and blankets. There is a free hot breakfast offered in the morning which consisted of breakfast pizza, muffins, doughnuts, pastries, hot coffee & juice. No question the finest hotel in the area!

We stayed in Oneonta, New York, on our way home from Quebec in order to visit the new National Soccer Hall of Fame. This hotel was very convenient to the Hall. However, the walls are paper thin and we had a very poor night's sleep due to the activities of the couple in the next room. It was probably the stuff of situation comedies but we did not find it funny at the time. The front desk staff tried to be helpful and the complimentary hot breakfast was wonderful.

Just passing through, we only spent one night here and were not able to take advantage of the pool or fitness room. Easy off/on Hwy 88, made this a perfect choice. Rooms were quiet, clean, comfortable. The breakfast selection was ideal for a traveling family with something for everyone. The staff we met were all pleasant and accommodating. Quaint little town, close to Baseball Hall of Fame, made this a definite place we would go back to.

Stayed at many hotel in the Hampton Chain....this was by far the worst HI hotel I stayed in. Staff was friendly, room needed some work. Halls were very noisy, hotel staff knocked on doors between 8am-9am. Heard the sound of doors slamming all night and morning. This hotel could be very nice if they did some work. I would not stay here again!
