Better off staying somewhere else

I stay at these suites all the time and found this one to be the worst. The front desk was extremely unhelpful and unprepared. Upon arrival, the hotel did not have my room ready. I had to stay in a studio and then had to move again. The hotel did not apologize and made me pay the same rate even though they made a mistake. Furthermore, they messed up my bill twice by charging me the wrong room rate and then sending me another bill with the corrected rate but then all these internet charges I didn't use. Also, beware-they do not tell you that you will be charged for $15 a day for parking. The water pressure was also odd, each day I was there the hot water would slow down. This was extremely annoying. The cooked to order breakfast was okay, but beware of the buffet set up. There were little kids running around while I was there and I got turned off when I saw a little boy sneeze in his hand and then reach into the bacon platter.

the hotel was comfortable but they charge $15 a night for parking and the parking garage entry/exit barrier did not work. cars were constantly blocked as the drivers tried to put their room keys in the reader to make the barrier go up. I was stuck 3 times on a four night stay. No one answered the phone line once when I was blocked - it went to voice mail - and I had to leave my car and go to the front desk to get them to re-magnetize my room card.
Mold in bathroom and room smelled!

Overall the hotel is nice. However the staff was not helpful and unfriendly...Our room smelled and the shower had an enourmous amount of mold which was of great concern. Not just near the shower head but around the entire bathtub, on the tile, everywhere! We were to be at the property for two days and were leaving for the day so I called the front desk to speak to the manager on duty who was the assistant manager and he stated he would check out the situation for himself and call me immediately. He did call back some time later and indicated it was just water buld up from years of hard water and it would come right off...I explained I knew the difference between mold and hard water and it was not hard water it was BLACK mold! He stated he would go to the room again and look and I informed him that was not necessay to continue to go in our room while we were not there and told him thank you anyway and hung up. When we returned to our room there was a note in the room from the assistant manager stating he apologized and it was mold and that he wanted to move us to the presidential room being we did not have lots of luggage to move. Anyhow, the staff is not very friendly or personable! I called and left a message for the manager to call me and to date he has never returned my call regarding the situation...
Good room, poor service

Maybe just got there on a bad weekend, hotel was full...
When we checked in around 8:00pm on Saturday, nobody at the check in desk for several minutes, had to go and search to find someone to check us in.
Called for room service around 8:30pm, told it would take 20 to 30 minutes... called back at 9:15pm to check how much longer it would take and talked with the chef, who never received the order. Reordered at that time. No idea who took (and did not communicate) the original order. Called the front desk to make sure room service would deliver, received dinner around 9:40pm.
Rooms were fine, comfortable, clean and relatively quiet.

We were really impressed! Two spacious rooms completely updated in a modern style and a really beautiful view of Irvine from the bedroom. Breakfast was the full spread - no skimping. Kids got fruit, sausage, eggs, hash browns, danishes, cereal and on and on. The pool was indoors and small but the hot tub was right next to it and it was great to let the kids hop in and out! Tropical fish tank outside the elevator was an ooh and aah while waiting...We were happy they had room service but the food quality for dinner was the only things we wish were a littel more upscale but that was hardly a complaint! Really nice people working there...great value for the money!
