My husband and I stayed at the Fairmont in Sonoma over Valentine's Day weekend and had the times of our lives! From the beautiful dinner we had in Sante to the excellent Spa, we didn't even have to leave the hotel's property. Rain or shine, I recommend visiting this amazing property!

We spent Christmas at The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa late year. What a great time to get away from the city and enjoy a totally different vibe and energy. They are a dog friendly hotel. Hence our pouch did not have to go to a different hotel. The grounds are perfect for dog walking and playing. Sonoma is rarely this quiet. see you all next year

Fantastic Experience!

We have been to the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn several times in the past year. Its a large property, but they repeatedly acheive the intimacy feeling of a boutique hotel. Sonoma to us us much less impacted by large tour groups vs. napa although getting to the larger wineries in napa is quite easy too. The staff has always been extremely knowledgable and has directed us to some great experiences at small "off the beaten path" wineries in the area. The proximity to the sonoma square and the resturants and shops there is also a huge plus to us - we've had a few meals in the resturant at the Inn and the Chef is certainly one of the best we've found at using local ingredients to create a unique experience every time. Fi nally, the spa is amazing. The "bathing ritual" is something we look forward to beginning weeks before our visit - don't miss it! The treatments range from a basic massage to more creative and they also have some unique opportunities such as a daily bike tour or hiking in the local hills which we've found to be a great way to get the heart-rate up before exploring the food and wine across the region! We'll go back again and again - this is one of our favorite places for sure!

I spent a couple of days at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn last month for a girls getaway. We just has a fantastic time! We shared a suite which had a wood burning fireplace (they make it easy to light yourself!). There was even a free bottle of wine! All the staff were extremely friendly, my friend left her gold bracelet (a gift from her late grandmother) in the spa and the staff when to all lengths to make sure she got it back. She was thrilled. They also offer a free wine tasting in the evening. You would not believe the cheese they brought out too! Yum! Speaking of "yum" we went to their dinner restaurant, Sante. The lobster macaroni and cheese was to die for. Which brings me to the spa...what a treasure! The "bathing ritual" was so relaxing, I could have stayed there all day (almost did!). My massage was fantastic, ask for Vince, you won't regret it. The location of the resort is super convenient to the wineries. I think we drove maybe five minutes before we hit the first one. It's also close to the little shopping/dining district. It was just a couple of miles away. All in all, we just had a fabulous time. I cannot wait to go back!!

My husband and I chose to stay at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn on our first trip to Sonoma ever. We are from North Carolina and have never had a chance to make it to the wine country until recently. We had heard so many great things about this resort so we decided to try it out. Our room was absolutely fabulous. It was in the historic main building and i think they called it the heritage room. The bed was so comfortable i did not want to get out of it. And there are so many things the hotel gives you, free bottle of wine in your room, free wine tasting in the lobby, access to a huge gym and studio where you can take yoga classes and pilates classes etc for free. The spa is huge and playing golf at the Sonoma Golf Club was exciting because i guess it is a private course but as a guest of the hotel you can play there. I must end with the service at the Sonoma Mission Inn was outstanding. Every need was taken care of above and beyond what we would ever think. Everyone was so nice. We are going to take another trip to Sonoma just to enjoy the hotel again!!!!
