Best stay ever on Lake Erie

Had reservations at neighboring budget inn, and after 40 minutes in a terribly dirty, ill furnished room, we demanded a full refund and went next door to the Port Clinton Comfort Inn. The lady matched the budget inn's rates within $2.00 and the employees, the rooms, the facilities were just so at the other end of the spectrum. Will definitely be back to the comfort inn, and will tell others how nice it is, Thank you for a very nice stay.It was quiet, relaxing, comfortable, good location, and very helpful employees.

While not dirty, per se, the rooms could have been a little cleaner. Moreover, the pool deck (I thought) was a wreck. I can say, though, that the girl working the front desk was very nice and understanding, and provided very good customer service by allowing us to bail out of there after we were there for a few hours and decided it just was not a place we wanted to stay.

Ask for a handicapped room, Got second floor, in the back, with no elevators. Rooms are 50's style. Thin floors and walls. But, otherwise OK.Fish restaurant acrossparking lot was great!
Good value.

We stayed here and went to Cedar Point during the day. It was about a 20-25 minute drive to the amusement park and easy on-off highway access. The view from the the pool deck was super and the pool was nice to cool down in after a long day.The rooms were clean, but ask for a room closer to the lake as the rooms closer to the front desk back unto a restaurant parking lot. Overall a good stay.
