First Time Traveler to Ft Meyers

My family has mixed opinions on this hotel. The view from the West Tower (upper floors) was great especially at night. The pool area was very nice and clean. Anyone traveling to Ft. Meyers needs to eat at Pinchers or the near by Rib Shack - both of these place had excellent food. The customer service at this hotel needs improving. The check in was slow and the employees could use some training on customer service. The rooms do not have wireless internet and we could not get the internet to work in our room using the cable provided by the hotel. To use the internet, we needed to set in the hotel lobby. The room was good size but the bathroom was old and needs to be update. The air conditioning unit is above the bathroom ceiling and one day the unit started leaking water all over the place. The hotel staff told us that happens if we don't keep the balcony door shut. The hotel is located well if traveling to North Ft Meyers area and is a good place to stay for a couple of nights. If you stay too long, the quality of the service and condition of the rooms start to get to you. Based on some of the other hotels we looked at, we are pleased we choose this one but it could be better for the price.

Nice place to stay. The room was HUGE, clean and nicely furnished. The lady at the desk was very nice and even gave us a free upgrade to a water view room even though we paid for a non-view room. I would stay there again.

Every time we stay there we find it clean and the staff friendly. Nice view of the river and quiet at night.

Pleasantly Surprised

I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was. We had a beautiful view of the river, and were right on the other side of the river from the Downtown area. We were able to have a very nice dinner and enjoy a great night out, and then have a very quick drive back to the hotel. My only complaint would be that the housekeeping staff was very loud in the morning as they cleaned the adjacent rooms.

Nice but noisy

Check in went smooth. Receptionist Ok, not overly friendly, but not rude. Check-in room is seperate from hotel tower, so a little inconvient when you have to go to offfice for something. The room was big. Had a TV, microwave & fridge hid behind a bamboo armoir. Two large closets behind louvered french doors. Bathroom was huge. The best part was the view of the water from the balcony. Be sure to get on the third floor or highter for the best view or you might get stuck behind a resteraunt and all you'll see is walls. The worst thing was the noise. There was a Crab Shack resteraunt underneath & in front of our balcony & even with the door shoot, I could hear voices from the partying. Also it was spring break and college boys were throwing water ballons from the balconies. Also when you were on the balcony the traffic noise was always with you but not inside. Best thing was the view. Worst thing was the noise.
