The rooms were very clean, the pool area was immaculate, and the staff very accomodating. We changed from our original room (basic queen) to a larger room (king w/ sofa) on our last night due to our adding on an extra night and the staff quickly cleaned the room and made it available for an easy swiitch. The one negative was out first room was overwhelemed with carpet fresh smell - hate that smell and it never aired out. The second room in the main lodge didn't have that problem. I would recommend the larger rooms - you won't be disapointed. The complimentary breakfast is great (make your own waffles!) and the free wi-fi has good speed and no connection problems.

This hotel is an excellent value for a midweek stay in the Newport area. It will also be popular with families who appreciate a pool and a very close location to the main beach.
Great Value for a Short Stay

Hotel room was remarkably clean with a very large bathroom, 2 double beds, coffee maker, hair dryer, mini fridge and microwave. Continental breakfast included. VERY close to warf area of Newport and other amenities/activities. The pool is minimal and in a fenced area of the parking lot. I would definitely stay here again for another short stay; I couldn't say how this hotel would be for a lengthy stay.
Very nice place to stay with a great staff.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The airline lost my luggage and I had to find an outfit in a hurry. They were knowledgeable about the area and gave excellent directions. The rooms are clean and include microwaves, refridgerators and coffee makers. The showers have excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. Free breakfast in the A.M. was not listed as a feature but it is there and was a nice surprise. This was my first time staying at a Travelodge and I will definitely stay here again and whenever I travel to Providence, RI I will stay at this hotel.

This hotel is very clean. staff is extremly heplfull. very nice breakkfast in the morning. the best feature is great price comper to others.
