We booked the hotel online through HotWire for $68 per night + tax. The rocking chair on the entrance to the hotel made to resemble someone's front porch was quite welcoming. We sat a few minutes rocking to enjoy a beautiful April evening. In the lobby, fresh baked cookies are waiting for you to enjoy; bright red apples also on the counter for the guests. The room had a king size bed, refrigerator, in-room coffee maker and fixings for coffee and tea, two (free) bottles of water, a spacious and clean room and plenty of towels. The desk called within 10 minutes of checking into our room to see if there was anything we needed; also a welcoming feature.
A contintental breakfast was included with cold cereal, muffins, pre-cooked eggs, apples and oranges, sausage and bacon, coffee and juice. This was an adequate breakfast but on the second day we preferred to go to a restaurant for a more substantial breakfast.Internet service and an indoor pool were included. You could also register for goldpointsplus for rewards points for future stays at Radisson, Park Place, and Park Inn hotels. This hotel was located within 20 minutes of our weekend destination, The National Museum of the Marine Corp in Triangle, Virginia. Directly across the street was a Cracker Barrel Restaurant and nearby was a mall and within a 5 minute ride there are many fast food type restaurants. Easy access to the highway.
