Description: We stayed here at the Best Western Lighthouse Hotel after our friend's wedding. If you haven't been to Pacifica, the sweeping ocean views and crashing waves against the rugged coast are breathtaking. There are a couple hotels right here in Rockaway Beach, which is just off Highway 1 in Pacifica. The Best Western Lighthouse Hotel has the best ocean-view rooms of all. Be sure to ask for a cove-view room, though -- we almost got a "mountain beach-view" room, which apparently doesn't actually have a view of the crashing waves.
Although we didn't utilize too many of the hotel's services, what we did experience was very nice. The staff was friendly and professional, and they let us check in at 1:30pm --well before the listed check-in time of 4pm -- so that we could get ready for our friend's wedding. Our room was a first floor "cove-view" room with two full-size beds. The room was spacious and has a teeny balcony that you can stand on and practically get misted from the waves. We could hear the pleasant roar of the ocean as we awoke, which was very relaxing. They have a nice pool and outdoor hot tub, which is well-maintained and nice.
Cotton robes in the bathroom were a nice amenity, as well as a spacious vanity area, complete with a full jar of real cotton balls and q-tips.
The staff was also friendly and let us check out late without much of a fuss.
Everything was clean, comfortable, and the ocean view can't be beat!
