Over and Beyond Expectations

First of all, we have tried 2 hotels in the nearby area to book a retreat. However none of the hotel managers called back. But with Wingate, first answer was from the regional sales director who accomodated us more than what we expected to get. The hotel event coordinator was also very accomodating. We were able to hold 2 retreats at the same time using the meeting room, the board room, and the dining area for lunch and dinner at a special discounted price. On top of that, the hotel matched the online travel rates apart from the estimated group rate they gave us. We have experienced the same kind of retreat last year at a different hotel in south GA last year, but I didn't remember having any housekeeping staff keeping the meeting room tidy throughout the day, refilling water in each tables, and getting pens and note pads ready each day like Wingate did. Moreover, the beds were very comfortable (reminded me of Holiday Express' famous beds and pillows), the bathrooms, rooms, the hallways, the whole building were clean. The front desk staff were accomodating. The hotel itself is pretty quiet. Everything is updated. The all-day hot/cold drinks is a plus. The continental breakfast was good. Our group was very impressed with the hotel all in all which went beyond our standard expectations.

I have stayed at this property several time and find it very nice and clean. The breakfast is very good in relation to what many motels provide. Free in room internet, coffee available in lobby at all times, very friendly staff, and a real value for what is provided. I will stay here every time I go to Atlanta if available.

Unbelievable Value

My mother and I shared this room and it was really spacious. The beds were full queen size beds and very comfortable (4 pillows each!) and there was still a desk, dresser, nightstand, a reading chair with ottomon, and 2 desk chairs. The room had only a window a/c unit, but it worked great. Very quiet hotel - our room was on the first floor and we saw other people going into nearby rooms, but we never heard them. The free breakfast isn't much to talk about - just muffins and bagels and cereal, but there are fresh waffles. The hotel isn't near the mall, but there are plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes drive. For only $ per night (when hotels near the mall were over $), this was an incredible value. Will definitely stay here again.
