Union Station Marriott - St. Louis

Beautiful lobby - a most beautiful, historic building. The hotel had modern amenities. The room was very generous in size. I appreciated the soft, down duvet on the oversized beds. The flat screen tv was great. The bathroom was large and generous enough to accomodate more than one person. Very beautiful views of the downtown arch and skyline. THis hotel is located in a shopping mall with some attached larger chain restaurants. Would absolutely stay here again! Would stay here again!

Beautiful Lobby, Nice Rooms, Be aware of the Mall

This is a beautiful hotel. The staff was very nice and very, very helpful. From the time we pulled up to the time we left, we were treated like the business cared about their customer. Everyone was sincere, from the concerige (sp) to the staff in the lobby, to the cleaning crew. The only problem we had was that our room didn't have wash cloths, and when I informed the staff, we had wash cloths in a few minutes with appologies. The bed was very comfortable and inviting. The sheets were soft, which added to the relaxation of the room. My only concern: The Union Station Mall is part of this hotel, and over the years it has taken quite a down turn in the quality of stores and patrons. The walk from the parking, through the mall to the hotel is not one I enjoyed at 9:00 PM. There are reasons that all entries to the room areas are gated, but at no time did I feel like I was in a bad situation. There were many homeless people talking to themselves in the mall.

Stayed there last month. Beautiful experience. Convenient to downtown, but almost anything you need is there. Shopping and eating available inside connected to hotel. If you like old classic locations, this is another plus. The rapid transit train to downtown, the zoo and elsewhere is just behind the hotel, along with several great places to eat. Our room was clean and very comfortable.
