From the outside, the Regent looks like your standard hotel, but upon walking into the reception area, you begin to realize that this is indeed run by the Four Seasons hotel chain.
Even at such an ungodly hour in the morning, the staff was cordial and friendly almost to a fault. The bellhop had my bags out of the taxi before I could get my door open and he was just arriving at my room when I got to the floor. Realizing I was tired, he gave me a short tour of the room and insisted that I call if I needed anything.
The room itself had a king-size bed, which was firm, but not uncomfortable. There was a desk and chair in one corner, and a large TV place just beyond the foot of the bed. The bathroom was gold and marble with a large bathtub/shower combination. I don't know where they got their soaps/shampoos/conditioners, but they were top of the line.
I took full advantage of the free shoe-shine provided and my shoes were outside my door by the time I woke up at 7am, as was an international newspaper.
Breakfast was included with the room and it was international buffet-style with a fresh omelet stand at one end. After some french toast, fresh fruit, a plethora of pasteries, some freshly squeezed OJ, and some wonderful coffee, I was set for a day of trekking around town.
