Inn at Cocoa Beach

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Cocoa Beach, and we decided to stay at the Inn. The Inn was charming and indulgent at the same time. Technically it is a bed-and-breakfast, but in reality it really is a high-end hotel with the warmness and friendliness of a small bed-and-breakfast.

Upon entering the Inn, you will be struck by the wonderful lobby that is laden with comfy couches, magazines, and everything you will need to lounge around as if you were at home, just way nicer. There was also the owner's cute dog walking around and lots of parrots around the property. The Inn has a wonderful breezeway where guests are encouraged to lounge, and it is also the location of their wine-and-cheese social every evening. There is an honor bar, dining room, courtyard, and a pool for guests. The Inn also has beach towels for you, and you can rent one of the huge beach umbrellas. Oh yes, did I mention that the beach is only two steps away from the Inn. Oh yes, you just get your towels and the beach umbrella and use your Inn key to get access to the beach. That's it! The Inn has a private pool, but the beach is so close! Oh well, I guess you could use the pool at night for a romantic dip!

Oh, our room was spectacular! Our guestroom was spacious and had all antique furniture. We had a king-size bed complete with our own antique nightstands and mirrors, a chaise lounge, and seating area. Our room had a balcony with a full view of the Inn's courtyard and full view of the beach!! We were so close to the beach that we could sit on our beds and hear the waves break and feel the sea air on our faces. It was bliss!

And the best part is that the Inn has a full complimentary breakfast. This is not coffee and donuts! They serve you breakfast in the dining room on fine china. You can have poached eggs, toast, cereal, pancakes, freshly baked muffins, fresh fruit, tea, or coffee. The selection is endless and they greet you by name when you go in and tell you all your choices. You can choose to either dine in the dining room or sit outside, where you can overlook the courtyard and feel the sea breeze on your face! Robert and I sat outside on the verandah and enjoyed our breakfast. I think we sat and ate for about 1 hour or so.

You will get to know all of the guests and the staff because everyone is so pleasant and always offering tips on the best places to dine, etc. It was bliss! Trust me, you will feel so pampered and relaxed that you will wonder why on earth you would live anywhere else! Enjoy!!!

The Inn at Cocoa Beach

This was a really nice place. We originally had much cheaper accommodations at the Howard Johnson's Express, but a problem with our reservation forced us to take one of only two rooms left in town. We ended up at the Inn at Cocoa for twice the price (at $150), but it was well worth it. This is good value for the money.

This is technically a B&B, but is not in a traditional house. It is a small inn with very few rooms and a nice property. We had a room with one full bed, cable TV, bathroom, and sliding-glass patio door that led us right to the beautiful pool area.

Breakfast every morning was in the main dining area, decorated with terra-cotta tile floors and an open french-door view of the garden. You could also dine on the garden patio. We had only to come in and give our room number, and they prepared a beautiful breakfast for us with muffins or danish (depends on the day) right out of the oven and a full plate of delicious tropical fruits. We helped ourselves to toast, bagel varieties, and beverages. This was such a luxury treat. It was a super-high-quality breakfast compared to most hotels.

The place was very clean and well maintained. The pool was sparkling and the garden beautiful. Wine and cheese were provided every evening. From the roof deck, we watched a space shuttle on the launch pad at Cape Canaveral.

The drive to Disney from Cocoa Beach is about 1 hour, so we were able to enjoy the beach and take a day at the Magic Kingdom. This is a great beachfront location, and chair and umbrella rentals are available from the inn. It is only a short walk to Ron Jon Surf Shop, and lots of dining and activities are nearby. I highly recommend this place.
