Resort Experience:
This was a restful week following a high-energy one in Las Vegas. This is the place to go for a wind-down. The Tehachapi Loop draws crowds from all over to see how the trains pass through the Tehachapi Mountains to get to from the north to the south of California. It is quite a spectacular view.
The resort was a few miles out of the town. Therefore, you needed to plan your day before you left the resort. There were things to do in the area that could keep you busy. We took a day and drove into Los Angeles. It is a quick, easy trip to the coast and well worth it for those that inhabit the East Coast. Things are a bit different out there on the West Coast. Since you are up in the mountains, there are very few days that there is not a breeze. That helps when you are traveling in the summer months. The people are very friendly.
