My friends and I stayed at this location because we went to NYC at the last minute and it was the only hotel in the $450/night price range. The location is terrible! During the day it is okay but at night nothing is opened around the hotel. My friends and I did not feel safe walking from the subway to the hotel. (The nearest subway is 6 blocks away) Regarding the rooms, they are nice due to everything being brand new. The staff was not helpful at all though. Especially when it came time to check out! It took over 45 minutes to get our luggage because they don't tag any of the luggage. So we had to describe our luggage, then they guessed and brought up about 20 pieces of luggage and then let us choose ours. I am glad nobody choose my luggage earlier that day! But I was particularly annoyed when it came time to get a cab. I asked for a cab, 30 minutes later an employee walks outside and just stands there waiting for a cab to pass by. When a cab finally passed by, he just lifted his hand, so of course the cab sped by us! So I grabbed the next taxi by myself. No thanks to the staff at this hotel, I was late for my flight. I will NEVER stay here again. There are way too many hotels with better location and service!

On a scale of 1 to 10, this hotel was a three. The customer service was horrible. The guy at the front desk was sitting on the floor talking to one of his friends on the phone. The hotel looked nothing like what was posted on the Internet. The walls in the room were very dirty, and I had mold in my shower. The room was very small, about the size of a bathroom in most hotels. I asked the guy if he could put my luggage in storage until I returned because I arrived early, and he said that it was no problem, to just leave it in front of the counter, not a good idea in New York.
