Nice People - Beautiful facilities - Small room

My son and I were fortunate to spend three week at the executive over the summer. OK, it is Italy so everybody is nice and everything is beautiful, but the hotel was comfortable and hospitable. The breakfasts were wonderful. The coffee was great! (yeah I know, Italy again?) When we arrived I was disappointed with the size of the room. Very small, but we didn?t spend much time in the room anyway. The bath was wonderful and always clean. After three weeks, if they were going to drop the ball we would have seen it. I?ll recommend this place to anyone but don?t expect the grand hotel. We walked everywhere 85% of the time. We like to walk, if you don?t the bus stops close by, a grocery is close as are 10 billion restaurants.

We had a room for two persons with queen bed. The room was a lot smaller than I had expected for a four star hotel, but the bathroom was spacy and very clean, and we also got our own ncie balcony. A dissapointment was that room didn't have shampoo, only shower gel, soap and lotion. Otherwise the bathroom was excellent. Breakfast is gorgeous, you won't leave hungry. Staff should know a little bit more English and provide more information about the city. Location is OK, quiet, not very pretty though. Overall a nice experience with little to complain.

The Executive Hotel is located near the Villa Borghese ( a beautiful park) and within a short ride by bus from the main train station. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good, especially the coffee. We spent one month in Italy and this was one of the best values.

Hotel Executive is in the north of Rome, close to Villa Borghese, so it may feel too far out of the city centre for some people. Don't let this put you off however, as buses run from Termini to this part of Rome regularly and the journey takes about ten minutes. Walking takes about 25 mins.

Our double room was on the small side, but pleasant, with air conditioning, mini bar, in-room safe and a bathroom with shower. We also had a small balcony overlooking the garden and rooftops of Rome.

Breakfast was buffet style with cereals, fruit, pastries, bread and delicious coffee (of course!)and was served between 7.00 and 10.30.

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and there was always someone available at reception.

I think this hotel represents good value (we paid just less than £100 a night in September). A hotel of similar quality closer to the centre may cost considerably more.
