There is always something to see, whether it is the bungee thing across the street, the people in the pool, or overlooking the clubs. This is the center of all the activity. The Summit is probably very different during other times of the year. We did not know it was spring break when we went.

We arrived late at night, but we still noticed how dirty everything was. The first thing I noticed when I went to into the kitchen was a bug scurrying down the kitchen sink drain. That didn’t bother me too much until the next day when we noticed more bugs (cockroaches) crawling all around the kitchen. We called down to the office and left a message for the manager that was never returned. When we went down to the office to complain about the bugs they handed me a can of Raid to use. After leaving several messages with for the manager, he finally returned our call. He was so rude it was unbelievable. He even insinuated that we brought the bugs. That night we stayed up all night washing all our clothes and carefully packing our bags on the table and bringing them down to our car so that we didn’t bring any bugs home with us.
We called RCI to complain and to try to find another place to stay, but everything was booked. RCI did refund the points we used. The people at RCI were very polite and did all they could do. Luckily we were able to find a room at a nearby Hampton Inn and still had a good time on the beach.
The one thing we learned is to always stay at a Gold Crown Resort.
