Great Location Average Facility

Best Things nearby:
We walked to the shopping center across the street to a very good seafood restaurant. Burger King just across the driveway, and several gift shops as well. Very close to Wal-mart and most of the best attractions.

Best thing about resort:
The office staff was quick to help with: small issues, minor repairs,and security monitoring of the active areas. like the elevators and hallways. We were on the 7th (top) floor, which gave us a great gulf view, and an area of privacy. The room was clean and a bit old-school, but comfortable.

Resort Experience:
We were told to keep our thermostat at 75 to help avoid having problems with the condensor unit. We are not comfortable at 75, so we bought a box fan to help.
The security personnel would not allow me to park my short wheel- base quad-cab truck inside the facility parking, which then required me to pay to park in the city lot, outside the gates. The beach is very nice with soft white sand, but it was controlled by a group of arrogant teenaged or low 20's Parasail/jetski/banana boat personnel. They would not allow a sun shade canopy in front of their rental chairs. There is no area of beachfront that is not covered by their rental chairs, but we were informed that umbrellas were allowed. We opted to go and buy a couple of umbrellas, and use those instead. Aditionally, the parking lot outside the gates was city owned, so anyone could pay to park and then use the beach in front of the resort. And they did. So, if you have to go to the store or run an errand, forget a parking space. Do not expect to find any privacy or seclusion here.

Overall, we have decided to move to another facility in the future. We are very pleased to have stayed, BEFORE we bought.

The beach was gorgeous. The resort was close to good restaurants and shopping.

Best Things About the Resort:
The location was perfect. It was right on the beach and owners at the resort received a discount on the chair and umbrella rental. Those of us who exchanged did not receive the discount.

Resort Experience:
We went for the beach, so it was worth it! However, the ceiling tiles were falling, the sliding glass door didn't open, the tub was clogged, the dishwasher rack kept coming off the track, the kitchen faucet dripped all week, there was food in the garbage disposal that wouldn't go away, the shower didn't always have hot water...

Resort Experience:
Prior to our visit I tried to contact the resort a few times and my initial contact experiences were not very pleasant. Check-in was similarly unpleasant, but the rest of our stay was wonderful.

The unit was beautiful, but I would have liked prior occupants’ finger/handprints to have been cleaned away from the doors and trim prior to our arrival.

Another guest let us know about the standard resort breakfast meeting which was to be held the morning after our arrival. I was surprised we weren't invited to come to this meeting when we checked in. The host and hostess of this meeting were very friendly and the meeting was warm, inviting and informative.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Ocean Towers, but there were certain amenities which we've come to expect which were sadly missing.

The week we stayed there was the last week in February and the weather was mostly stormy and cold. The season starts the first week of March so many places weren't open. The resort advertises that it provides beach chairs, but this wasn't true. The chairs do not arrive until March.

Panama City and its beaches seem like a wonderful place to visit after the tourist season starts.

Best Things About the Resort:
Location. All units have a beach view.

Resort Experience:
Very nice family-friendly resort. They had some planned activities - mostly beach activities. We rented jet skis and parasailed right in front of the resort. Rooms are nicely appointed and all have a washer/dryer combo in the units.

Best Things Nearby:
The beach. The resort is right on the beach and is centrally located on the strip right next to the big Holiday Inn. It is a comfortable resort that offers a nice room, great location, and wonderful beach.

Best Things About the Resort:
The unit - Our unit had a great view, a full kitchen, and two bathrooms. The resort has a sauna, outdoor pool, and walk-out beach.

Resort Experience:
In April, anywhere in Panama City is wild. This resort was more mild than Holiday Inn next door or hotels down the road. It is more of a family resort. During the summer, it is calmer and easier travel throughout the town and surrounding areas. Great beach!!! Lots of restaurants nearby and a very friendly staff.
