Casa Rosa is owned by Frenchman Thierry Blasselle and his Pilipino wife Rosa. Thierry has been an expat for over 20 years and very productive with eight children at the time of my visit (the last one was only days old).
He had some property on Flower Island, which was sold to a Pilipino tycoon, and the money was invested to create the fascinating Casa Rosa, a combination of a restaurant, guesthouse rooms, and bungalow-type nippa huts at prices difficult to beat (about 10€ per night).
The view from Casa Rosa is fantastic, as you can see from my photos. What the photos cannot show is the serenity of the place, the perfect blending with nature (Thierry breeds piglets that roam happy and free in the surroundings) and the relaxing atmosphere.
Thierry is a perfect host. With Gallic manners, he is incredibly helpful and genuine and will spare no effort or time to make your stay pleasant.
His enormous knowledge of the northeastern coast means that he can organise everything for you (llike diving trips, day excursions to Lake Danao, and transport to Sandoval airport).
No visit to Palawan is complete without a visit to Tay Tay, and no visit to Tay Tay is complete without a stay at Casa Rosa.
