Breakfast is a continental one, with cereals, yoghurt, toast, juices, and tea and coffee on offer. It's served in the dining room, which also has a large TV (handy for the weather forecast - it seemed I was in for 3 days of rain when I got to Skye later) and couches.
I had booked my first night in Glasgow at this hostel in advance, but was unable to book a second, a week in advance, when leaving.
For anyone planning a trip to Glasgow on a budget, this is the place to stay. It's secure, clean, lively, and cheap. But do book in advance (you can do this online at www.hostelbookers.com - they take a 10% deposit, which is deducted form the cost of your stay at the hostel).
