Hostal Descalzos

Beautiful views from the comfortable rooms. Unfortunately, when we were there the restaurant was being refurbished so had to eat out -- and it's quite a walk uphill to the city centre. To get to the hostel it is at the far end of city to the bus station (the railway station is apparently about 20 minutes out of town - so we came by bus). We took a taxi which had to round the outside of the walled city. There is a garden area at the back of the hotel overlooking the valley. The rooms are comfortable and the owners ready with information about their city.
