Rude Staff

I found the location and vista's lovely, the rooms above my expectations. But the staff to even make the reservations and to finally get to our rooms was awful. Reservations staff was awful, time on hold forever, they were nitpicky on details that were their errors, and they just needed to be trained to smile. This is our pleasure, and we do this for fun, and to make a reservation shouldn't have to be this hard.

Again, lovely place but you need a car to stay here.

Our 2BR condo unit was equipped with 2 private bedrooms, 3 TV's a full kitchen, a steam bath/shower/Jacuzzi combo for total relaxation as well as a dry sauna, washer and dryer and all the comforts of home in extreme luxury.

The balcony overlooked the entire Carson Valley with the snow capped mountains as its backdrop. Deer were often seen grazing in great numbers right below our balcony. The night sky from our balcony reflecting shadows from the mountains behind us on the mountains before us had us spellbound. There's also a great gas grill on our balcony for family cookouts with ease.

We relaxed in the 6 or 7 fresh mineral hot springs piped into Jacuzzis of varied temperatures in the public area open to all whom stay there for no charge. Public steam rooms, dry saunas, showers and lockers available as well. As you sit with the warm breezes blowing off the valley and the glorious mountains surrounding you it's easy to imagine the days gone by when Mark Twain and Ulysses Grant enjoyed the same scenery and warm waters. The history of this resort is a treasure in and of itself.

The pony express trail runs right through the property and a marker is on the south side.

Location? Yes! 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe, 45 minutes from Virginia City, a day trip to ghost town Bodie (beautiful drive!), horseback riding, wine tasting, casinos, museums (Carson City Mint...great museum nearby) as well as restaurants and nightlife.

The kids loved the pool table, ping pong table, tennis courts, weight rooms, badminton, horseshoes and all there was to do at the resort.

I loved the balcony...my book and the view...total relaxation at its best!

We traded our timeshare through Interval International for this resort. I have stayed in many that claim to be 5 stars... this one met my expectations and more! The great service by every staff member I encountered made it all the more enjoyable.
