Description: This centrally located hotel provided good family accommodation.
General: The hotel sits on an austere looking restaurant. The reception is on the first floor. The hotel staff was cordial and English-speaking. The rate for a three person room was around USD$60/night.
Services: Our room was on the 3rd floor (no elevator). It had three single beds (one of which was a pull-out sofa). We also had two lounge chairs, a TV, and two windows with views out on to the back parking lot. We had a private bath, and breakfast was served in the restaurant on the ground floor. Secure parking was available behind the hotel for a minimal fee, which included a security guard.
More details: The decor of the room was an orange/brown reminiscent of the late 1970s or '80s; however, the room, the hallways, and the restaurant seemed fairly clean. The hotel was quiet at night. The breakfast included rolls, cheeses, sandwich meats, and coffee or tea.
Location: The hotel was well-situated. There was a great cafe across the street that served tasty perogies, pizza, and a variety of other fare. I had fun purchasing funky sunglasses across the street at a small store for $1.50 each. There was a also a small pharmacy and several other shops where inexpensive supplies or soveniours could be purchased. The hotel is also only a 10-minute walk to the castle.
Summary: This hotel provided good location and services for about twice the price of the cheapest hotel options. For a family looking for certain conveniences, however, the extra expensive (small by American standards) will be worth it.
