Best Things About the Resort:
Resort Experience:
The caravan site has three fields, all nicely separated from each other by hedges. There are about 12 grass pitch areas in the main field, with a large grassy area in the centre.
The site has various facilities. There's a reasonably sized shower/toilet block that seems fairly new and was very clean and presentable - a bit chalet-like with all the wood panelling used. There's also a room for laundry/dishwashing next door, which we didn't use. There's a game room in part of a large barn belonging to the farm, with Ping-Pong, board games, books, and a huge selection of leaflets for sites, attractions, and events in the local area.
Our pitch was by the corner, with a wooden picnic table next to it, which would be a nice place to have a meal if the weather was up for it.
It's a quiet site on the edge of Woodbury Salterton, which is a small village. There are plenty of birds around - my eldest loved watching them around the feeders in the tree by the van adjoining us. There were also some ducks wandering around. The pitches are far enough apart that you can keep to yourself if you want to and also not feel your kids are disturbing your neighbours.
Nearby attractions include the Diggers Rest pub/restaurant, but slightly further afield is Exeter, Otterton, Topsham, the coast… All in all, it's very well located for visiting this part of Devon and makes a very nice base for a weekend or even longer.
