Passage House Timeshare

My wife and i and our 3 year old son booked a weeks timeshare at the Passage House on my fathers timeshare points and this is what we found:-
A dated smelly far from luxurious one bedroom so called suite with no oven, no dishwasher, very old fashioned decor and although it was reasonably clean pretty obvious that none of the furniture has ever been moved and cleaned under or around.
We had a lovely view of a hedge which covered the railway track and the rubbish bins for all the apartments.
We had a train going past the apartment every 15 minutes day and night and the shower kept running hot and cold.
We both struggled to see out the full week in this grim apartment as our initial reaction on seeing it was to leave as soon as possible. When i complained about it i was given the choice of an identical apartment on the floor below,
How these apartments can be advertised as luxury accomodation is quite beyond me as they may have been luxury when they were last fitted out 25 years ago but they certainly are not now in 2009.
The Passage House has now slipped from an RCI gold to an RCI silver award which is very misleading as the 4 brand new timeshare apartments if you are lucky to get one are probably gold standard but the rest unfortunately would struggle to get a bronze award to be honest.
Unless you are guaranteed one of the new apartments then i would give this place a miss as it is the worst timeshare we have ever stayed in and we were thankful to leave and get home!
On checkout the receptionist didn't even ask if we enjoyed our stay or not and didn't seem that interested when i complained about it giving me the excuse that the manager does what he can to them when he can - marvellous if this is your only holiday of the year and you have been waiting 12 months for it!!!

Good Value and Nice View

Following a short trip to Cornwall and Dartmouth, we stopped here whilst we were still in Devon. With Exeter so close by (access to the M5 is very convenient from this hotel) it was the ideal base for exploring the area. Clean modern room; really good views across the river - which considering was only a standard - was very £reasonable. If you are into watching wildlife on the water, this is the place. Food was ok, we ate in the traditional Pub Inn that's linked to the hotel and a minutes stroll away. Calvery style roast and perfectly good for the price.

Great Hotel, Fabulous Estuary Views & Good Value

For a busy traveling business person who's looking for a hotel that's a bit of a hidden treasure? this is real find. The Passage House Hotel is down the bottom of a country lane and sits on the banks of the Teign Estuary. However it's also really close to the motorway networks for convenience, with great views across the estuary for the price of a standard room. Next door to the hotel is a beautiful old world Inn or pub where you can eat in a casual setting. Seemed very popular and the Calvery was serving tasty Devon Beef and Yorkshire puds. Altogether, a really good hotel and pleasant situation
