This is one of the best places I've ever stayed in my life - and I'm deterimed to go back! Unfortunately (or fortunately) depending on how you look at it, they'll only allow people who are recommended to them to book personally - so realistically you'll have to use a big travel company and go on a group tour to experience this wonderful place!
Zuleta is a family-run 4,000 acre working farm dealing with dairy farming, horse breeding and forestation. The 'guest house' side of the farm is currently overseen by the charming cousins and excellent hosts, Isabel and Fernando.
Guests actually eat in the family dining room, lounge in their lounge with their dogs and stay in their own bedrooms (we had Fernando's mothers!) - a pretty florally decorated room with dark wooden antique fittings, a huge bed and a great 'Aztec' tiled bathroom.
When the family want to use the house en masse (for Christmas, etc),no guests are allowed.
Dining is a great experience here - as everyone sits around a big oval table & eats home grown/baked food.
The hospitality is so good it's out of this world - as is the horseback riding they offer.
