As we arrived soaking wet after a rainy hike the piping hot water in the showers was very welcome. We also enjoyed the open wood fire in the corner of our bedroom (if you couldn't get it burning yourself a member of staff willingly came to assist). All rooms had twin beds, open fires (& logs) & private bathrooms - were quite sparcely but tastefully decorated.
In spite of the fact that this is the oldest farm in Ecuador, they had modern fax/tel links, a large indoor swimming pool, good food & beautiful grounds to walk around (including a rose plantation)in.
