There is a small grocery store on site that is quite well stocked with the "necessities." At the Sales and Tours office adjacent to the grocery store, you can obtain free maps, taxi fare schedules, discount vouchers, and advice and bookings for tours and activities. Auto rental can also be arranged; however, in Antigua, driving can be hazardous to your health! The roads are narrow and not in very good shape. You drive on the left side of the road and have to watch out for livestock and speed bumps near major intersections. There are only four traffic lights on the island! We recommend taking the taxis, which have fixed rates for various destinations. If you share the taxi with other people, you share the fare and it's cheaper.
