Resort Experience:
A small resort as the rather misleading photograph suggests a huge pool and sea nearby. Sea IS nearby but down an enormous hill which is murder to walk back up again. Courtesy bus will take you to local 'resort villages' where you can find restaurants, shops, views, beach, and other things to do. Nothing at all around the Club itself. On site there is a small restaurant and poolside bar, and a small but adequately stocked shop. Entertainment in the evenings is pool side. Pool is smaller than it appears in the photos and VERY cold. Food in the restaurant is quite good, which is useful as it's the only option unless you have a car or take the bus.
Car is essential if you want to see the surrounding area, but the roads there are very narrow, winding around the mountain sides with precipitous drops on one side. We decided our relationship would never stand the strain of one of us being a passenger on those roads and gave up on the idea, which limited the places we could go.
The main problem with the main resort villages in the south of Gran Canaria are the timeshare touts who just about kidnap you off the streets.
