We had two rooms: both smelled intensely of cigarette smoke, even though we requested nonsmoking rooms when we reserved it a few weeks before. I assume they don't have any nonsmoking rooms. One of them (not mine, luckily!!!) didn't have running water in the shower or sink. Those were the two biggest problems. The room was admittedly fairly clean, even though I was a little nervous about letting my face make contact with the pillow or walking barefoot in the bathroom. The mattresses were hard and pretty uncomfortable, but they didn't prevent me from getting a good night's sleep (maybe it was just because I was so tired). In the morning, however, our 7:30am wakeup call didn't come until 7:48ppm. The woman at the desk was extremely helpful, especially when we asked her about the stubborn lock in our room's door. Overall, Goodwin's is not the Ritz, but it was okay for one night.
