Best Things Nearby:
The river! The trees! The stars at night! Nature is the highlight here for sure. We didn't venture far, but didn't need to. The river alone was so relaxing to sit next to just veg, eat, read a book, and relax. There are many flowers that are beautiful close by.
Best Things About the Resort:
Most of the campgrounds are next to the river, so more than likely, you'll get a view of the river from your campsite. I enjoyed the silence of the campground and the beauty. With the late snows this year, the river is running full late into the year, which makes for beautiful views and fun swimming.
Resort Experience:
It was very nice, clean, and quiet. The keepers are part-time summer employees, a couple, and are very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this for R&R time, but not so much for partying.
It is a trick to find. It's off of Highway 50, right past Kyburz. You turn right onto Silver Fork Road and make your way down. It's a very nondescript road, as there isn't a big sign, so you have to keep your eyes open as soon as you pass Kyburz.
