Description: You couldn't ask for a better view being 7000 ft. overlooking Lucerne (Luzern), Switzerland. The hotel is round, so all rooms have a great view. The staff is very friendly and spoke perfect English/German.
Hotel Bellevue has comfortable, three-star rooms. Feather blankets and pillows made the beds comfortable. The room price included a huge buffet breakfast. There are only 27 rooms in the hotel, which makes for a cozy stay.
You can get up here by cogwheel railway or by cable car. Or do a "Golden Roundtrip," incorporating all forms of transport in your journey. The last train went down at 5pm and there were very few people staying on the mountain. It felt very strange to be so high on top of a mountain and to be almost alone, but we loved it. We can't wait to go back again and we highly recommend staying here.
