Located on the outskirts of Malbork, just 2km southeast of the castle, Hotel Dedal offers an ideal opportunity to unwind amidst the unspoilt splendour of the surrounding landscape. Completely free from disturbance, this hotel offers an idyllic retreat of cosiness characterized by a unique atmosphere of serenity and hospitality.
Visitors probably come to Malbork by train. From the train station, it's a short walk west along Ul Zelazna leads towards Al Rodla, a busy thoroughfare that bypasses the town. At right angles to Al Rodla, ul Sikorskiego runs straight for about 1km towards Hotel Dedal. Set away from the road on the right side, the hotel is situated within a spacious charming area of turf and greenery. A huge display sign above the doorway makes it clearly visible from the roadside.
The hotel's 30 rooms, which have recently undergone a complete refurbishment, are spread on two floors. Providing comfortable accommodation, each room is equipped with all modern amenities that include direct-dial telephone, minibar, and satellite television. Our double room painted in shades of yellow and decorated with a stencilled floral frieze was furnished with light-wood furniture. A couple of wall-hanging contemporary paintings and a wall-to-wall curtain that matched the bed covering completed the picture. Spotlessly clean and spacious, our bathroom was equipped with a large bath and a separate shower.
The breakfast is served in the dining room on the ground floor from 8am to 10am. Offering a wide selection of cereals, fresh fruit, juices, and dairy products, the breakfast is supplemented by vegetarian food and a good number of freshly prepared hot meals. Take your share of chocolate-filled croissants, homemade cakes, scones, or speciality tarts from the wide range of sweets available.
Hotel Dedal is a perfect retreat from the stresses and strains of everyday life, a haven of tranquillity where visitors can relax in its unique flair and style, cosseted by unobtrusive service from cheerful friendly staff. For all this and its unrivalled level of cleanliness, Hotel Dedal is an ideal relaxing base for those travelling north towards the Baltic region of Poland.
