Breakfast in the dining room, which faces the pond, was delicious and unique.
Pond House is located on the quieter east side of Boothbay Harbor. Everything is within walking distance and the footbridge takes you over to the busier side of town with the majority of shops, restaurants and piers.
Mary treats everyone as an honored houseguest. Her knowledge of the locale and fellow business owners is a great asset to visitors. She was first attracted to the area by the watercolors a college professor did while summering in Boothbay. She has spent many years in the area prior to acquiring Pond House in 1998. While all are welcome at Pond House, Mary hopes to attract artisans interested in spending some studio time in the region.
There are no pretentions here. You can feel at home, and as a previous guest said, "It looks just like the website."
