Oppland Hotell
This hotel is located just off of the city center, perhaps a quarter mile from the main park and square. This comfortable hotel was very basic in its accomodations and amenities. It was, however, a good value for the price. The layout of the hotel was rather confusing and on several locations got lost, it was also uncomfortable having to walk through the restaurant to get to my room (I did quickly scan the tables to see what the most popular dish was!!! Reindeer was the top choice!).
I had wanted to get an early start in the morning and walk back to the square to see Lillehammer wake up, but the hotel was locked tight. And no one was around to let me out. Such is life!!
The included breakfast was very large and generous and I piled my plate high with pickles and beets...I must start this as a breakfast trend in the USA.
