Best Things Nearby:
Great nature trails that are well-maintained and offer great views of the ocean. The little town of Ucluelet is quaint and, I think, very busy in the spring/summer. There's a great restaurant called the Matterson House.
Best Things About the Resort:
It's quiet and cozy, very romantic.
Resort Experience:
We loved the fact we were right in town, but off on what seemed like our own little island. The units were tastefully decorated and simplistic. When you walked through the doors, you immediately felt relaxed and not bombarded with colour or clutter. There was a soaker tub in the master bedroom that was a great addition; it really added to a relaxing weekend. Our unit also had a soaker tub on the patio overlooking to harbour.
Before booking, check to see if the spa and restaurant are open; unfortunately, after we made our booking, both closed for the season in December 2004 and will reopen in February 2005.
