Best Things Nearby:
The walking country - This is Lakeland on your doorstep, you can take a leisurely walk down to Skelwith Bridge along the valley floor or venture up onto the hills for a serious day walk. The countryside is the attraction here.

Best Things About the Resort:
The lodge style accomodation was great. Huge two floor accomodation with spacious bedrooms with en-suite jacuzzi baths in each, plus one had its own private sauna.

Resort Experience:
It's like a country style estate, with lodges set in the woodlands and a central restaurant and leisure facility that is also a hotel. There was a more bar style restaurant better for families as well as a more formal (no jeans or trainers) type restaurant. The upstairs of the lodges were a cross between swedish pine lodge style with an english study feel - big leather sofas and wood drinks cabinet and so on. It was open plan living with the kitchen and dining in one. The setting is great with the mountains literally outside your window, so even if it's tipping it down and you're sitting with your hot tea and a game of cards, you still feel out in the country. For the accomodation and the location of great walking on your doorstep I thought it was simply the best timeshare I'd stayed at in the last three years.
