The hotel is situated up on a hill, with its Tudor-style architecture to complement most other buildings here--a reminiscence of the colonial presence. The lush green environment and relaxing atmosphere, coupled with a birds-eye view of the major town--Tanah Rata, is why people come here. It is also strategically situated near the town center where all the services and food are conveniently located.
The hotel has a Chinese restaurant and a coffee house inside. A continental breakfast is included in the room rate. Facilities include: gymnasium, sauna, shopping, arcade, laundry, etc. Golf can also be arranged.
I booked online through an agent--Holiday City--and got the best deal (I hope!)It cost only RM150 inclusive of taxes for a standard double room, whereas from my research through the net, other agents all offer a range from RM175 to RM250. Booking straight from the hotel is even more expensive--RM 380 for the same type of room! But, then again, the hotel does offer packages that include accomodation, food, and tours. Do ask about this kind of deal.
My room was very spacious, clean, and it had a balcony! Not too bad considering at the price I paid.
