Description: This is an amazing place. It's really central, and has a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel is beautiful - the staircase leading out of the lobby is a sweeping effort, that starts as one large stair and divides to encirle the lobby.
The room we had was vast. It was at least 25 feet by 20 feet, and with the twin beds against opposite walls, you had to shout across the gap! The room was decorated in faded but high quality stuff - the furniture was oak and antique, the curtains were a gorgeous red velvet, a little bare in places but so pretty!
The attached bathroom was again a little elderly, with a claw-foot bath and huge taps that were hard to turn. he breakfast (included in the room rate) made lunch unnecessary.
We arrived at this hotel very late (see the free-form section on our journey to Lvov), and they were welcoming and friendly, despite our lateness. This isn't all that common in the Ukraine! I can whole-heartedly recommend this place, it is very comfortable, unusual, friendly, and interesting.
