The tourist village of Guardalavaca is 15 minutes away. It offers local arts and crafts and several markets. The airport is 30 minutes from the resort.
Best Things About the Resort:
The beach, Playa Esmeralda, is used solely by this resort. The staff (and Cuban people in general) are very friendly.
Resort Experience:
The resort offers two buffet restaurants and four a la carte restaurants, also four bars, which are part of the resort's all-inclusive program. The resort has two sections, the "Luna" and "Mares". Each section has its own pool, entertainment stage, and lobby (it was formerly sold as two separate properties but they are now combined).
Units have a mini fridge with a new 1.5l water bottle every day. CD-player, and television (CNN, NBC, ESPN) are equipped in each unit, as well as clothes iron and hair dryer.
There are many excursions available such as swimming with dolphins and coral reef dive. The resort gym/spa also offer full body message ($15US) and a beauty parlor.
