A Waste of Time

A Waste of Time

Our visit here was pretty awful. First of all One of us is handicapped and walks with a cane and they put us at the end of the hotel which is about half a mile from the lobby. We were exhausted just getting to the lobby never mind getting to the pool or beach which were lovely scenery, that's all. There is nothing going on here. No bar. No people. No entertainment. Far away from all the activity. You have to drive to Kona for any activity or interesting shops. If you want quiet I guess this is the place. If you want any life at all stay away from here.
I would also reinforce the comment about the $50 Continental Breakfast. Wow And it isn't even special!!! You'd have to be crazy to stay here.

Beautiful Open-Air Hotel with all rooms facing the ocean

I stayed here last year during the summer and I would come back again! We (my family and I) had suite at the north end of the hotel which was very comfortable and roomy. The best thing about this hotel is that it is adjacent to the beautiful Hapuna Beach with its white sands and blue water. The room that we stayed in was very comfortable and private. We could see the ocean and there was a nice green lawn in front of our balcony. I like the design of the hotel which is very open with sprawling grounds. Much of the flooring in the lobby and throughout the hotel is made of natural slate and wood. We ate in several times through Room Service and we had dinner once at the Coast Grille which was outstanding. We also ate at the snack bar near the pool during the afternoon. The views from the Coast Grille were awesome since we sat outside facing Hapuna Beach. We went to the pool almost every day and played ping pong near the pool lawn. Their restaurant near the golf course was just okay since a swarm of bugs lingered near us the whole time that we were there. Service was very good and most of the staff was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend staying at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel if you come with your family. Try to get a room near the lobby entrance because some of the rooms are quite a way from the lobby and it takes a long time just to get to your room.

Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel

The price is high, but the resort is worth it. Take advantage of visiting during slow times or use frequent miles points. This hotel has great rooms with views of the ocean and lanais for each room. The restaurants for dinner are amazing, but breakfast is a complete rip off unless you enjoy paying $50 for a continental breakfast for 2. The view from the breakfast restaurant is incredible, but you can enjoy coffee and a snack from your own lanai with the same view. There is snorkeling at the beach and a beautiful pool. The workout facilities are top notch with classes and all equipment you will need. If you like golf, they have a great golf course.
